Will you allow candidates to use ChatGPT in recruitment processes

At BetaFin Partners , for our growing Valuation practice, we recently opened applications for CA Articleship as well as full-time employees

There were some questions appended in the application form – how would you value an IPL franchise etc.

The answer of a candidate was “Valuing the Chennai Super Kings franchise involves considering financial analysis, market comparables, brand value, revenue streams, and future potential. Factors such as historical performance, fan base, sponsorships, and growth prospects are assessed. Professional sports valuation experts can provide a more precise and detailed valuation”

I found the answer to be quite good – It was too good to be true
I asked ChatGPT – Have you written it and it replied “Yes”

On asking the candidate, she agreed to usage of ChatGPT

We asked our LinkedIn community whether we should still go ahead with the  candidature http://bit.ly/3ps2A7D

The larger question is whether in the future ,recruitment processes will have to be defined, so as to exclude usage of Chat GPT and AI

Or should you allow Chat GPT so as to assess whether the candidates will smartly use available tools and techniques at his/her disposal and come up with nuanced responses

Also would there be ethical considerations for usage of Chat GPT
